Fall Winter 2012 Preview: Chloé

A pretty collection with to-die-for outerwear.

There’s so much to love about the Chloé Fall Winter 2012 collection we don’t even know where to start. Between the signature soft shades of pastels and beiges, the wearability, the slouchy silhouettes and the fresh-faced makeup, it was the details that stole our hearts.

Take for example the red T-shirt dress with a drop-waist – a minute detail that makes a world of a difference, while simultaneously cementing the uncomplicated dress as the brand’s defining piece. It’s all in the details, from the tucked in hair to oversized pockets and ankle slits in pants.

As a Brit living in Paris, Clare Waight Keller wanted to create a collection that was equal parts English sportswear and Parisian sophistication. We’d say she pretty much nailed that, epitomized in the very first look. A peach duffel coat with an oversized collar paired with sleek, sandy trousers and a powder purple blouse – genius.
