Spring/Summer is a color game for Burberry.
In what marks a significant departure from the norm for the iconic British fashion house, Christopher Bailey has cast his team of bright young things in rich color against a clean white backdrop, in keeping with his collection’s vibrant hues. “It’s about movement, energy, and character,†Bailey told The Daily, “to express a fresh new attitude of the Burberry family.â€
Having for several seasons now focused the light away from established talent like Kate Moss and Stella Tennant, the new campaign represents an energetic and new young Brit regime. Agyness Deyn, Burberry’s muse du jour and face of Burberry the Beat, the brand’s new fragrance, stars in the images shot by Mario Testino alongside the likes of Lily Donaldson, Coco Sumner (Sting’s daughter), Merlin Ferry (son of Bryan Ferry), British actors Alex Pettyfer and Eddie Redmayne, fellow models Edie Campbell, Alice Gibb, and Laura Fraser, British golfer and model Tom Wade, Courtney Love guitarist Liam Wade, Josh Beech, lead singer of British rock band Snish, Foals drummer Jack Bevan, and Will Cameron, singer and guitarist of British rock group Blondelle.
What’s next? Prada in plaid? Cyndi Lauper for Armani? You can see the Burberry men’s collection definitely bringing the turquoise back into style here.
