Coach Spring/Summer 2015 is a Retro Pastel Playground

By Roxanne  /  September 25, 2014

Creative Director Stuart Vevers‘ second collection for Coach is all about the modern groupie, with retro vibes and bohemian styling recalling images of girls from the 60s and 70s waiting outside gigs, thanks in part to the hazy sunset background to the runway show.

A strong focus of this SS15 collection is the play on textures. Diaphanous chiffon print dresses combined with robust and functional outerwear allow for a laid-back formal aesthetic, while the combination of metallic tones and jewels on casual items like print t-shirts and parka jackets add a playful and feminine edge. Pastel fur jackets, leopard print separates and mod designs add a vintage feel, as does the return of the bell-bottom pant that is ushered in in style with jewel tone, floor scraping designs.

Models looked out from side-swept hair, with metallic mini bags worn across the body. Pearl choker necklaces and foam platform mules that were part slider, part Birkenstock added a modern touch.
