It seems that Burberry’s gone back to its plaid roots for inspiration for its latest AW16 collection. Burberry debuted its latest couture at this year’s London Fashion Week (LFW) and was easily the most anticipated show.
Burberry’s latest collection is titled, A Patchwork. Ten points if you correctly guessed the collection pays homage to all that mixes and matches. Plaid patterns and clashing textures of glossy python, metallic florals and geometric jacquards all feature heavily in the trans-seasonal collection. Creative Director Christopher Bailey was sure to reference things that he loves, from military uniforms to 1970s David Bowie. The result is a beautifully chaotic collection – and, obviously, completely covetable.
