To Covet: Chanel’s Plexiglass Clutch

By Butterboom Writers  /  April 29, 2013

One of the standout bags of the season.

Chanel pretty much invented the concept of the ‘it’ bag back in the 1950s with the 2.55 and these days Karl Lagerfeld is playing around and pushing boundaries much as Gabrielle Chanel herself used to. This season has resulted in two very talked-about bags from the French fashion house; the Hula Hoop Bag and this one, affectionately nicknamed the Lego Clutch.

Eccentric and eye-catching, the Lego clutch has been so called because of the fact that it resembles a giant lego brick with Chanel’s familiar double C boldly emblazoned on the front. Made from lightweight, structured plexiglass and with a top snap-fastening, it features a detachable chain shoulder strap and lambskin lined interior. It is a standard size clutch with room for all of your essentials, but that is almost superfluous, this is on so many peoples must-have list that if you manage to get your hands on one then who cares what you can fit into it?
