Salvatore Ferragamo‘s Creative Director Massimiliano Giornetti‘s new Fiamma bag draws inspiration from different female generations of the Ferragamo family. The handbag is named after Salvatore’s late daughter Fiamma Ferragamo who was the brand’s leather accessories and shoe designer for almost 40 years, and created the iconic Vara shoe.
This semi-circular, top handle, new piece of arm candy incorporates a pocket fastened with a lock that resembles the Gancio, which symbolises the brand’s history and dedication to craftsmanship. Other aspects of the bag that have caught our eye include its top-stitched ribbed handles, double zip hardware closure, removable and adjustable shoulder strap and elegant satin lining.
The Fiamma comes in Autumn brown shades of Cocoa, Black, Moss and Rosewood, and seasonal shades like Plum, Atlantic, Grape and New Bisque and comes in five different sizes, including miniature. There is also a limited-edition version that combines luxe materials like fringe embroidered nappa, two-tone fox fur hand stitched onto aged snakeskin, tweed with degrade Swarovski crystals and lizard skin handles, and calfskin with stingray details.
In line with its inspiration, the digital campaign for Fiamma focuses on short films and interviews featuring a cast of families with their female generations from all over the world. Hong Kong style icon Flora Zeta Cheong-Leen and daughter Claudine Ying are featured. Check out the campaign here.
