Nahui Ollin Candy Wrapper Paper Bags

By Butterboom Writers  /  June 10, 2011

Eco-friendly bag made from – yes – candy wrappers!

We know we seem to be featuring a lot of eco-friendly bags recently but we had to mention the latest which is Nahui Ollin‘s who has launched the first ever bags and clutches made from candy wrappers in Hong Kong.

Made of Mayan weaving techniques, Nahui Ollin uses candy and gum wrappers with soda bottle labels that have been rejected by factories or manufacturers to make brightly coloured bags, clutches and accessories. The wrappers have never been used and otherwise would have been sent to a landfill. Nahui Ollin has managed to find a use for these materials by transforming them into works of art!

The best part is, they’ve priced it so that everyone can afford one.
