Mulberry Tessie Bag Goes Back to its Classic Roots

By Roxanne  /  September 11, 2014

As part of their Autumn/Winter 2014 collection, Mulberry has launched the Tessie Collection, the first to fall in line with the brand’s new wave of more affordable accessories – and the new range is all about fashion with a purpose.

Instead of following the trend of extravagant design over usefulness, each Tessie bag has the wearer in mind and takes into account that the modern women needs versatile and timeless pieces. The classic rounded shape and buckle details take inspiration from the designs that first made Mulberry popular in the 70s and marries retro vibes with modern styling.

The collection comprises hobo, tote, clutch and satchel styles, crafted from soft-grain leather and croc in five different colourways, including tan, black and cherry red. Although Mulberry may be lowering the price tags of the Tessie range in comparison to the collections predecessors – the Lana, Bayswater, and Alexa – they have not skimped on quality. All designs are crafted from bovine leather and feature non-scratch metal gold detailing. With the smallest satchel in the range measuring just 14cm x 20cm and the largest tote at 29cm x 46cm, there is one for every occasion.
