Lancel’s New Daligramme Collection

New bag line inspired by Salvador Dalí’s greatest love.

In the summer of 1929, the infamous Spanish surrealist Dalí met and fell in love with Gala. Their love for each other was all-consuming, so much so that Dalí invented a new alphabet called The Daligramme as a language of love that belonged only to them.

Inspired by Dalí and Gala’s love affair, in 1970 Lancel released a collector’s bag detailed with the motif of The Daligramme. Today, the French fashion house has returned to the same source of inspiration with a whole new line of bags and accessories entitled The Daligramme Collection in dedication to the passion between these two lovers.

The collection consists of twenty handbags, twelve small leather goods and ten small accessories. Each piece heavily features Dalí’s secret alphabet, making them literally tooled in the language of love.

We especially love the Dalidol, a small square envelope bag, and the Dalinight, a larger travel bag.

The Daligrame Collection will hit Hong Kong stores in September.
