Givenchy’s Creative Director Ricardo Tisci referenced the mysterious ocean depths as inspiration for his Spring Summer collection. As an ode to the brands ideology of combining beauty with an air of danger, the emblem of the shark tooth was born in 2012 and is seen on oversized necklaces, shoes, and now, on the new Shark Bag. Small enough to wear as an evening bag, but so chic you’ll want to carry it around all day, the Shark Bag features a shark tooth clasp, oversized studded flap and subtle graphic lines that make for a dangerous look. The top handle is convenient for the daily commute- slung on one arm it looks effortlessly cool- and the stark black is convenient while injecting a dose of dangerous glamour to your outfit. The bag is available in 3 sizes, with and without studs and features a removable shoulder strap.
Complimenting its predecessors, the new Shark Bag is understated in its design, relying more on metal detailing to stand out. The shark tooth clasp and studs go a long way in making it noteworthy in this regard. However, tiptoeing along the line of obscurity and minimalism is what Givenchy does so well, and in this case they have tip toed all the way to a home run.
