Kiehl’s Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash

Natural skincare and beauty brand Kiehl’s was founded as an old-world apothecary 160 years ago in New York. One of its most known products, Calendula Herbal Extract Toner, was launched in the late 60s and features hand-inserted calendula (marigold flower) petals.

Kiehl’s has just launched Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash with a new and improved formula that has an amino acid-based surfactant and calendula flower extract (used in traditional Chinese medicine) to nourish, soothe and hydrate the face. Glycerin also helps hydrate as it pulls moisture from the air into the skin.

In conjunction with its release, Kiehl’s has teamed up with Mark Ruffalo, Cyndi Lauper, Ian Somerhalder, Gretchen Mol, graffiti artist Acept and street artist HOTTEA for its Nature + The City programme to create artwork that symbolises how nature blends with New York City’s urban landscape using the calendula flower as a focus. Kiehl’s is donating $50,000 to the artist’s environmental organisation of choice.

The Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash is priced at HK$250 for 230ml.
