Shopping Guide: False Eyelashes

By Butterboom Writers  /  November 4, 2011

Get show-stopping eyes with these fashion forward falsies. We’re all used to hearing about the latest mascaras and their miraculous lash-lengthening claims – but how many of us have been disappointed with the results?!

False eyelashes do exactly what they say on the tin, whether you want flamboyant conversation-stoppers or an ‘au naturel’ flutter. Simply curl them with an eyelash curler beforehand, gently pinch and stretch the ends to add flexibility, apply glue to the roots of the falsies and press them into place – et voila! Treat them carefully and they’ll even be good for several applications.

So, whether you’re looking for extra length, volume, density or extravagant colours, here are Butterboom’s top picks:

Shu Uemura

Shu Uemura

The Japanese brand has long been famed as the expert for false eyelashes and consistently wow with their Tokyo Lash Bar Collections. Shu Uemura boast a range of innovative falsies, from soft feminine natural lashes to outlandish colours and artistic designs (with collectors ensuring the limited-edition ones sell out fast!) Try going for brown lashes or trimming them to half length for a less dramatic look.
